Jeremy Connor, formerly of South Setauket, N.Y., was recently named assistant vice president of regional claims operations at GEICO’s regional office in Fredericksburg, Va.
He previously served as director for personal injury protection claims in the Woodbury, N.Y., regional office.
“Jeremy brings a wide-range of knowledge and experience to the position,” said Tony Nicely, GEICO chairman and CEO. “I am confident that he is ready and able to take on the challenge of regional claims management.”
Connor began his career at GEICO in 1995 as a part-time claims information center associate in New York. In 2003, he became a claims service representative supervisor. He then relocated to the company’s regional office in Tucson, Ariz., and served as a telephone claims representative supervisor before transferring to GEICO’s regional office in Buffalo, N.Y.
There, he helped to establish the claims department and later became the region’s first continuing unit section manager. In 2007, Connor returned to Woodbury to manage planning and operations. In 2008, he became Woodbury’s liability director and in 2010, he served as director of personal injury protection claims.
Connor succeeds Terry Mannion, who becomes head of GEICO’s liability claims operations at the corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md.
