Sapulpa Auto Pool of Kansas City, an independent salvage pool with affiliated branches serving the Tulsa and Oklahoma City markets, announced the acquisition of a 70-acre parcel directly adjacent to its current facility.
This expansion brings the total auto storage and auction size to 80 acres, making it the largest physical facility of its type in the Kansas City area.
“Nailing down this piece of our overall company expansion plan was a top priority for us and I am very pleased with our progress,” said Tim Rokisky, president of the company. “Our Kansas City operation has been exceptionally well received by the local claims community, and I am gratified by their support. Within just a few months of our inaugural auction in November we accelerated our move to a twice-monthly schedule, allowing us to process and remarket inventory for our clients at a faster pace. This expansion provides the depth of capacity we need to enable us to continue rapid inventory growth.”
Rokisky continued, “In addition to its traditional salvage auction, our Kansas City facility also houses the company’s Catastrophe, Non-Total Loss, and Specialty Divisions. This expansion greatly increases our long-term storage capability for specialty and RV inventory. Also, because spring is the season that statistically is likeliest to inflict windstorms and floods, our Catastrophe Team is breathing much more easily today knowing that space availability will not be an issue.”
SAPKC, like its sister companies in Oklahoma, is owned and operated by Tim and Marie Rokisky. In addition to physical expansion, the company recently introduced its online Sapulpa Live auction, featuring live streaming video and audio for real-time interactivity between onsite and online bidders.
