First Notice Systems Inc., a provider in claim-reporting solutions for the insurance industry, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, announced a new alliance designed to provide insurance customers easy access to a rental car when reporting a claim.
Automobile insurance carriers utilizing First Notice Systems’ claim-reporting services have the option to add this capability to their program for easy and immediate access to Enterprise’s 5,000 nationwide locations. The result is reportedly enhanced services for those policyholders who need alternate transportation while their automobile is being repaired.
The First Notice and Enterprise collaborative effort makes finding and reserving a rental car during the claim-reporting process reportedly much simpler and quickly gets the policyholder back in the driver’s seat. Policyholders who need access to substitute transportation can select an Enterprise rental car, enjoy immediate pick up and can take advantage of special rental prices.
This joint First Notice and Enterprise solution is currently in use with a select number of automobile insurance carriers who are mutual clients of both Enterprise and First Notice Systems.
Each insurance carrier utilizing the First Notice and Enterprise service determines the circumstances under which an Enterprise rental car is offered to individuals who report a claim. Carriers typically prompt referrals based on:
— claim-reporter’s relationship to the insured;
— coverage on their policy;
— severity of damage to the insured vehicle;
— any combination of a wide variety of criteria.
Once a caller qualifies, the First Notice customer service representative initiates the rental reservation by either transmitting the loss information into Enterprise’s ARMS system or transferring the caller directly to Enterprise’s national reservation center.
If a policyholder has rental reimbursement coverage, Enterprise can bill the insurance carrier directly.
