St. Paul Travelers announced that it will showcase the newest functionality for e-CARMA, its Risk Management Information System, at the upcoming RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.) Conference & Exhibition to be held in Philadelphia.
Beginning on April 18, customers visiting booth #921 can view e-CARMA’s latest enhancements, which include a series of executive level reports, a customized “Red Flag”/claim alert capability and a triangle facility to enable exploration of loss data over time.
Now, e-CARMA’s Web-enabled “Company At A Glance” tool provides risk managers, CFOs, safety managers and others interested in executive-level risk management with risk management program measurements – concise thumbnail reports – such as a financial summary, loss trending, claim frequency by region and highest severity open claims.
The new “Red Flag” feature automatically identifies and posts critical information that will impact overall loss costs. Criteria may be customized to meet particular risk management needs. A new online customer scorecard delivers streamlined, client-specific graphs to identify trends that drive loss costs. e-CARMA’s online triangle facility allows customers to explore how their losses have developed over time. All of these new enhancements have reportedly been developed to give customers fast, accurate and secure access to their loss information.
Another reported benefit of e-CARMA is a flexible report scheduling capability, automated claim alerts and a relational database. And e-CARMA reportedly makes the most current claim information instantly available (subject to privacy and confidentiality considerations).
The scheduling function allows users to submit a report request once for the report to automatically run monthly, quarterly or yearly – and attaches the completed reports to an e-mail sent directly to the requester. Its enhanced scheduling facility also enables e-CARMA’s scheduled reports to be automatically distributed to multiple email addresses. Customer-set Claim Alerts promptly notify users of sudden and significant activity on new and existing claims.
Managed care reports permit customers to analyze in-network and out-of-network savings, review network utilization, and furnish medical bill re-pricing statistics. An on-line library of training tutorials can be accessed – at the customer’s convenience – from e-CARMA’s homepage.
Each tutorial employs web animation and audio to train users on various topics and features of e-CARMA. With the report writer feature, customers may choose from each and every element available on the system to create a report, reportedly providing an even greater degree of flexibility and customization.
An open architecture – e-CARMA’s relational database – – permits seamless customization to meet the customer’s specific needs and speeds the integration of new capabilities as those needs evolve.
St. Paul Travelers’ e-CARMA is a customer portal to its Risk Management Information System. Accessible through the Internet, e-CARMA’s navigation and design permits point-and-click loss reporting, integrated access to real-time loss information, and links to both critical risk management functions and external risk management sources.
