Parsippany, NJ: York Claims Service a subsidiary of York Insurance Services Group, Inc. (“York” or “the Company”), a leading insurance services provider, announced today its approval as a claims adjusting educator in four states: Florida, New Jersey, California, and Texas.
The Florida Department of Financial Services Education Section also approved one of York’s Continuing Education Unit (CEU) courses for accreditation. The class, entitled “Aggressive Claims Handling”, teaches adjusters to proactively gather factual claims information as accurately and quickly as possible, via thorough preparation.
The lengthy CEU authorization process involves three stages. First, the Company must earn approval as an education provider in each selected state. Next, Company employees must be approved as instructors in those states. Lastly, Company claims adjusting courses must be individually submitted for accreditation in the same states.
Completing these steps allows York’s Product Management team to teach CEU-qualified courses in targeted states, helping claims adjusters become more efficient, and ultimately reducing costs.
Three York claims adjusting courses are currently awaiting Florida approval for CEU accreditation. “Claims Litigation” teaches adjusters to reduce litigation costs by reviewing the latest tools and best practices. “How to Conduct Proper Investigations” focuses on how to actively investigate factual details surrounding claims. “Bad Faith” outlines how to meet state and federal standards of care through better understanding of standards, comprehensive training, compliance, and proper supervision. “Bad Faith” has already been taught to York and client employees. These courses were developed by York’s Product Management group led by Vice President Dick McKinley in conjunction with Employee Relations Specialist Sarah Shave.
York’s Product Management division employs experienced claims professionals who devote their extensive knowledge to continuously improve the Company’s education, training, auditing, and quality assurance to protect clients’ money, relationships, and reputations.
