Cindy Fillman, the state Insurance Department’s consumer liaison, is inviting Pennsylvanians to the next series of regional consumer advisory meetings to talk, ask questions and bring items of interest to the direct attention of the Insurance Department.
“During the first round of meetings in April, consumers asked a variety of questions on the many types of insurance, including health, life, auto, long term care, homeowners and flood insurance,” Fillman said.
“The purpose of July’s meetings is to talk about the first steps we’ve
taken to address some of the particular insurance concerns raised in the first round of meetings, to explain our next steps and to continue to listen as consumers share what’s on their minds. Some topics we’ll be discussing include credit-based insurance scores, education and outreach opportunities and homeowners’ issues.”
The Office of Consumer Liaison has a new section on the Insurance
Department’s Web site, http://www.insurance.state.pa.us where consumers can learn about future outreach events, gather important tips about their insurance coverages, or e-mail a question or concern to the Liaison’s Office.
