A wrongful death lawsuit was filed last week on behalf of a woman who was killed when the Ethan Allen capsized on Lake George.
The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court on behalf of the estate of 67-year-old Stephanie Christine Przybylski, who was among the 20 senior citizens from Michigan and Ohio killed when the boat capsized during a leaf-peeping tour Oct. 2.
Named as defendants in the lawsuit are Shoreline Cruise Inc., the owner of the tour boat; Richard Paris, the vessel’s captain; Shoreline Tours Inc., which arranged the tour; Scarano Boat Building Inc., which modified the Ethan Allen; and the Lake George Steamboat Company Inc.
Other lawsuits have been filed in Michigan and New York on behalf of victims and survivors of the accident. The Ethan Allen was carrying 47 elderly passengers when it capsized.
Przybylski lived in Whitmore Lake, Mich., with her husband, Fred.
