Fire Capt. Oscar Garcia says eight arsons occurred in the span of four hours Tuesday in the Damascus area. The first was reported at about 3 a.m., and all were within a 11/2 mile radius of each other.
Garcia says bales of straw, mailboxes, a trash can and landscaping were involved in the fires, causing damage estimated at $25,000.
No one was injured.
