Firefighters say arson caused a fire that damaged an apartment building in Manchester, New Hampshire, the fifth suspicious fire in the city in the past two months.
WMUR-TV reports 16 people were displaced from the fire early Wednesday. One resident was treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation, and a firefighter suffered a knee injury.
Firefighters have not said if Wednesday’s fire is connected to other recent fires in the area. Before Wednesday, the most recent arson was at a building a block away on May 1. An investigation was started into two other arson fires in March.
