Fire officials are investigating two blazes in five days at a motel in Ashland, Virginia.
The first fire at the Super 8 motel occurred Saturday and caused about $1 million in damage. A firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The latest fire was reported shortly after 4 a.m. Wednesday in a different section of the L-shaped three-story building. Hanover County Fire & EMS Battalion Chief Willie Jones told The Richmond Times-Dispatch that there were no injuries.
Thirty-one occupants were displaced by the earlier fire. Jones says no one was in the building when firefighters responded to Wednesday’s fire.
