Delaware officials are warning the winter storm moving across the Mid-Atlantic states could bring severe coastal flooding.
The Delaware Department of Transportation was warning early Wednesday that the Prime Hook area could be cut off in the storm. Officials are encouraging residents to leave the area.
The agency says there appears to be a strong possibility that primary and secondary roads to Prime Hook will be flooded, due to a difference in expected wind direction and tides during the storm. If all roads are flooded, the agency says Prime Hook will be isolated from the mainland and possibly cut off from emergency services.
