Two Seton Hall University lacrosse players who suffered concussions and other injuries when their team bus veered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and crashed, killing their pregnant coach, are suing the bus company.
Lawyers for Siiri Mason, of Oxford, Mich., and Abigail Shaughness, of New Windsor, Md., filed the lawsuits Tuesday against Mlaker (muh-LAH’-ker) Transportation Inc. of Davidsville.
Thirty-year-old coach Kristina Quigley, her unborn son and 61-year-old driver Anthony Guaetta were killed after the bus crashed into a tree near Carlisle.
The women’s attorneys claim the March 16 crash was the kind of event “that does not normally occur in the absence of negligence.”
The bus company didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.
The suits seek unspecified damages.
