Symbility Solutions Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp., has reached a five-year agreement with Gore Mutual Insurance Company to adopt and rollout the Symbility mobile claims system for its property claims across Canada.
Following the successful completion of a five-month pilot program with
Symbility, Gore Mutual will have all field adjustors company-wide processing property claims through the system by Oct. 1, 2005.
Available for tablet and pocket PCs with integrated Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPRS/1X wireless technology, the Symbility Solutions system allows adjusters and contractors to write and process claims on-site with greater accuracy and to settle claims more quickly. Symbility’s mobile, wireless, on-site, pen-based system reportedly allowed claims adjusters and contractors to process claims on-average six times faster than when using traditional processing systems. In recent months, Symbility Solutions has signed contracts with Economical Group and Allstate of Canada to use the mobile system to process claims.
Gore Mutual’s pilot program was conducted in its Ontario region and was designed to verify the ease of use of the software by adjusting staff, ease of transmitting estimate information between contractors and adjustors; the efficiency of storing and retrieving estimate data; the extent of business intelligence capabilities for comparative and trend analysis; and the expense reduction and overall return on investment in the software technology.
Symbility is currently running pilot launches with several insurance
companies as well as with service organizations including Disaster Kleenup and ServiceMaster.
