ACE Group announced two management promotions as it continues to invest in its casualty insurance business across its Continental Europe region.
Jerome Salmon has been promoted to the position of regional casualty manager, Continental Europe. In this role, he will have profit centre responsibility for ACE’s casualty portfolio across the region. He will also be responsible for driving strategy for the portfolio, ensuring its profitable growth and continuing its expansion into new niche markets. Previously, he had regional responsibility for ACE’s multinational and major risk casualty accounts in Continental Europe.
Salmon will continue to be based in Paris. He will report to Jeff Moghrabi, chief operating officer, Continental Europe at ACE and to Mark Homan, executive vice president, Casualty for ACE Overseas General. He replaces Rosemary Ness, who has chosen to take a career break.
At the same time, Connie Germano, casualty manager, Middle Market and Life Sciences, Continental Europe at ACE, has been promoted to the role of regional technical manager Casualty and underwriting manager Casualty Specialties, Continental Europe.
She will retain her existing technical underwriting responsibilities, and continue to oversee and grow ACE’s life sciences portfolio in the region. She will also assume additional responsibility for managing underwriting and product development for casualty in the specialty areas of product recall, food tamper, construction, chemicals and energy risks. Germano will continue to be based in Zurich and will report to Jerome.
