Donavan to Lead AGCS Cyber Insurance Business
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) announced a change in its global cyber leadership team. Effective March 31, 2017, Emy R. Donavan will be promoted to hlobal head of Cyber reporting to Bernard Poncin, global head of Financial Lines at AGCS.
Donavan, who is currently regional head of Cyber for AGCS North America, will succeed Nigel Pearson who has left AGCS to pursue other opportunities. She will oversee cyber insurance for both commercial companies and financial institutions as well as IT Tech Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance.
Donavan’s regional role will not be replaced. Jenny Soubra and Terri Mason who have country responsibility for cyber and IT Tech PI products for the United States and Canada respectively will maintain their current focus.
Based in San Francisco, Donavan will lead an experienced team of regional cyber underwriters globally and further develop AGCS’s cyber and IT Tech PI product suite. Since 2013, the insurer has offered a stand-alone cyber product, Allianz Cyber Protect Premium, in Asia and Europe as well as Canada. In 2016, AGCS North America launched ACCEPT Protect, a cyber and professional liability coverage designed exclusively for the North American market. The global cyber insurance market is expected to triple from the current $2.5 billion per annum by 2020.
Donavan’s experience includes more than a decade of cyber, technology and specialty errors & omissions underwriting. Before joining AGCS as North American cyber practice leader in December 2015, she served as VP of Underwriting at AXIS Pro focusing on cyber and technology placements. Prior to this, she held senior roles developing the specified professions and technology division at Zurich North America. She began her insurance career as an underwriter for ACE Group as a graduate of their management training program.
Safety National Announces Senior Vice President Promotions
Safety National Casualty Corporation has appointed the following individuals to senior management positions:
Cyndee Morton has been promoted to senior vice president – Operations. Morton is responsible for senior management oversight of the Policy Services Administration and the Information Systems Departments as well as leadership of the Operations Committee.
Mitch Neuhaus has been promoted to senior vice president – Claims. Neuhaus is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Claims Department, including claim administration and third-party administrator oversight.
Keith Rogers has been promoted to senior vice president and chief actuary. Rogers is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Actuarial Department, including pricing and reserving.
Morton, Neuhaus and Rogers are based out of Safety National’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.
Brentwood Services Administrators Inc. Promotes Wall to Medical Only-Claims Representative
Brentwood Services Administrators Inc. (BSA), headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., recently promoted Courtney Wall to the position of medical only-claims representative in the Brentwood office, according to Jeff Pettus, president and chief executive officer.
Wall is responsible for reviewing, processing, and handling workers’ compensation claims as assigned by Lisa Whitten, claims supervisor for BSA. Wall determines the compensability of claims, processes medical bills; and communicates directly with clients, employers, injured workers, physicians and attorneys to manage claims in a timely and economic manner.
Wall was employed by BSA as a claim assistant in March 2014.
