Aon Names CEO of Captive & Insurance Management Business
Aon named John English chief executive officer, Aon Captive & Insurance Management effective June 1, 2018. English is currently chief operating officer of Aon Captive & Insurance Management & managing director of Aon Captive & Insurance Management EMEA.
He has been with Aon for 10 years and has over three decades of global experience across insurance, reinsurance and alternative capital markets.
English will continue to be based in London and will report to Rory Moloney, working in close partnership with the global leadership teams across Aon’s Risk business.
Farmers Names Keith Daly President of Personal Lines
Farmers Group announced current Chief Claims Officer, Keith Daly, as new president, Personal Lines effective June 11.
Since joining Farmers in 2009 through the acquisition of 21st Century Insurance, Daly has led the Claims unit through a strategic transformation to improve the customer experience. He implemented new and improved technologies, such as virtual reality training, to help train claims representatives and introduced the use of drones, satellite and aerial imagery to enhance the claims experience for customers.
Before serving as chief claims officer at Farmers, Daly served as vice president of field claims operations at 21st Century since 2007. Earlier, he served as vice president and claims process leader, directing strategy for Liability, Auto Physical Damage, PIP/MedPay, SIU, Training and Quality Assurance. He also served in various field leadership roles after joining 21st Century in 2001. Daly moved from sales to the insurance industry in 1993, starting as a claims representative trainee at Progressive Casualty Insurance Co., in Atlanta, Georgia. He held numerous technical claims roles before moving into supervision and the leadership track.
Brian Benjamin Joins Zurich North America to Lead Management Solutions Group
Brian Benjamin, a longtime insurance executive with extensive experience in professional liability lines, has joined Zurich North America as head of Management Solutions.
Benjamin will be accountable for the direction, management and performance of the Management Solutions Group (MSG) unit, which is part of Specialty Products in North America Commercial Insurance. He will report to Brian Winters, head of Specialty Products, Zurich North America Commercial Insurance. He will also have global responsibilities for financial lines, reporting to Jim Shea, Zurich Global Head of Commercial Insurance, in this capacity.
Zurich’s Management Solutions Group provides solutions that help customers mitigate their risk in areas such as management liability, employment practices liability, healthcare, fiduciary and crime. The Specialty Errors and Omissions (E&O) unit is also a part of MSG and includes professional liability E&O, employed lawyers and security and privacy, as well as captive life insurance agents.
Prior to joining Zurich, Benjamin held executive roles with XL Catlin and AIG, most recently serving as global head Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance for XL Catlin. He has extensive experience working with brokers and customers, as well as expertise in underwriting strategy and models, product innovation and strategic initiatives in various management and professional liability lines.
