North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven announced the Minot Fire Department will receive a $94,752 grant from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the seventh round of the Fire Prevention and Safety grants, part of the fiscal year 2004 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
The grant program, administered by DHS’s Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) in cooperation with the United States Fire Administration (USFA), focuses on fire prevention and safety issues with emphasis placed on high-risk target groups of children, seniors and firefighters.
