Chicago-based Specialty Underwriters’ Alliance Inc. reported that it does not expect any losses related to the recent hurricane activity.
SUA President and Chief Executive Officer Courtney Smith stated, “Our company primarily writes commercial general liability, commercial auto and workers compensation, which are typically less affected by natural disasters. Also, we target specific customer groups. This enables us to limit risk exposure and concentration of risk to natural disasters such as hurricanes. We have communicated with our customers and we confirmed no losses from the recent hurricanes in the Gulf Coast.”
