A.M. Best recently announced that it has upgraded United Wisconsin Insurance Company (dba) United Heartland’s rating to a secure A (excellent) rating. This upgrade comes as part of a pooled rating with Accident Fund Group. United Heartland became part of the Accident Fund family in December 2005.
In considering this upgrade, A.M. Best noted the solid financial strength of United Heartland as part of Accident Fund Insurance Company of America’s family as well as the company’s future performance and ability to meet policyholders’ needs.
“We are very pleased at the outcome,” noted United Heartland President Emil Pfenninger. “Our performance as a worker’s compensation insurer has been very strong historically. It’s one reason A.M. Best ranked United Heartland fourth among the top ten best underwritten workers compensation companies nationally. Our new ownership by Accident Fund has already resulted in a series of good news announcements for our clients and agents, but this announcement is among the best of them,” Pfenninger said.
The details of the A.M. Best upgrade reflect the strength of the group’s earning performance, excellent capital position and market leadership in core states of operation, the written statement said.
