Flooding in parts of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula has closed some roadways and led to a state of emergency for Mecosta County.
The emergency declaration came after storms Sunday and Monday that covered some roadways with water and washed out others. The declaration activates the Mecosta County Emergency Operations Plan to help officials direct their response efforts.
The storms dumped rain and some hail on parts of the state. The Midland Daily News reported that flooding also closed some roadways in Midland County.
