A Wisconsin medical products manufacturer faces a sixth lawsuit over its contaminated alcohol wipes.
The lawsuit filed in federal court in Tennessee contends the Triad Group and its sister company, H&P Industries, knowingly distributed the contaminated wipes. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration shut down the Hartland plant in April. The company denies the allegations and says it has complied with federal regulations.
The latest lawsuit was filed by Mitchell Gold of Clarksville, Tenn. Gold says he was hospitalized after getting sick from the company’s contaminated wipes and has ongoing health problems as a result. The Journal Sentinel says two people named in previous lawsuits have died, including a 2-year-old boy in Houston, Texas.
