The mother of two children killed in a 2012 plane crash in southwest Missouri alleges in a lawsuit that eight companies’ negligence contributed to the crash.
Georgia Marshall, of Springfield, filed the lawsuit this week in the September 2012 crash near Willard. John Lambert, his three children, and another woman died in the crash. Marshall is the mother of two of the children.
The National Transportation Safety Board determined late last year that Lambert became disoriented before the crash.
The Springfield News-Leader reports Marshall’s lawsuit alleges all eight companies were negligent in not making sure the single-engine plane functioned properly.
The petition seeks more than $25,000, although much higher damages can be awarded.
Those on board were flying home to Springfield after a Kansas City Royals baseball game.
