Insurity, a ChoicePoint® company, has signed a licensing agreement with TransGuard Insurance for its flagship policy administration system, Commercial Intellisys.
Deploying a state-of-the-art Internet platform, complete migration from TransGuard’s existing DOS-based system is already under way. Initial lines of business include Truckers/Transportation, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation, with other ISO lines coming on board during 2003. The system provides TransGuard and their nationwide network of independent agents with a complete Web-based rating, quoting and policy-issuance solution.
“We selected Insurity for two specific reasons,” Gene Garbaccio, TransGuard’s vice president of Program Management, remarked. “First, the Commercial Intellisys system’s ability to flexibly fit into our current enterprise architecture, which will allow us to easily integrate into our other systems for billing, customer care, claims and workflow. And secondly, the ability to offer numerous fully supported and developed ISO lines of business in a one- stop shop environment. This new platform will not only replace the existing DOS system but will allow us to have a competitive advantage in our market by giving TransGuard the capability to offer a wide variety of products while leveraging the power of the Internet.”
Commercial Intellisys provides commercial Property & Casualty policy underwriting, rating, issuance and statistical coding for all lines of business in all 50 states. The system provides several on-line help features; for example, Commercial Lines Manual, NCCI and SIC/NAIC look ups, as well as City File help providing information on protection classes, tax district and lines of business territory codes. Commercial Intellisys is offered as a License or Application Service Provider agreement.
In addition to providing the Commercial Intellisys product, Insurity provides back office processing including billing, claims, reinsurance, management reports and statistical reporting. Insurity will manage and process compliance of statistical reporting to ISO and Other Bureau’s as well as DMV reporting, as a business outsourced feature.
