DKI to Aid Ronald McDonald House

September 10, 2003

Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., a network of quality, independent property damage restoration contractors, has forged an alliance with the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR) and Ronald McDonald Charities to provide pro bono services to six Ronald McDonald Houses across North America.

The initiative includes six North American cities: Portland, Ore; Cleveland; St. Louis; Vancouver, BC; Washington, D.C.; and Los Angeles. DKI members are spearheading the efforts in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and soon will become heavily involved in Vancouver.

“The essence of our business is to help people in their time of need,” said Dale Sailer, president of Disaster Kleenup International, Inc. “When we were asked to participate in this wonderful cause, we considered it an extension of our industry’s daily commitment to its customers. On behalf of our participating companies, DKI is pleased to play a small role in this meaningful endeavor.”

The Ronald McDonald house was created in 1974 as a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families. There are 212 Ronald McDonald Houses situated in 20 countries across the world. The six cities chosen for this effort were hand-picked due to the needs of the communities and the willingness of DKI and ASCR members to participate.
