Accenture has been chosen to implement its Claim Components software application at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. The pilot implementation is targeted for the third quarter of calendar-year 2005.
Accenture will license the full suite of the .NET version of Claim Components (Release 5.2.1) to The Hartford and to Specialty Risk Services, Inc. (SRS), The Hartford’s wholly owned third-party administrator for claims processing. Accenture’s Claim Components software automates business processes in the claims-handling process. Additionally, The Hartford has selected the ClaimCapture platform from First Notice Systems, Inc. as the first notice-of-loss application that will be integrated to work with Claim Components through Accenture’s partner integration framework.
Accenture recently announced the availability of Accenture’s Web-based claims application designed using Microsoft’s .NET architecture. This release allows users to conduct more than 300 core claims transactions through the use of Web services and helps insurers to integrate their systems with heterogeneous back-end systems.
Eleven leading property and casualty insurers worldwide have licensed the Accenture Claim Components solution, and more than 40,000 claims handlers worldwide use Accenture Claim Components software on their desktops.
