A.M. Best Co. announced the availability of “Best’s Statement File Supplement for Schedule F and Schedule S” on a single CD-ROM that contains both databases.

“These databases include reinsurance data from the financial statements of thousands of property/casualty and life/health insurance companies, respectively,” said Best.

The bulletin noted that “by utilizing Best’s Statement File Supplement on CD-ROM: Schedule F and Schedule S, users can track how insurance companies are reducing their possible maximum losses by ceding a portion of their liability to reinsurers. The databases show where insurers are placing their reinsurance business and how much reinsurance they carry.”

The rating agency also indicated that “purchasers of either Best’s Statement File Supplement on CD-ROM: Schedule F or Schedule S now also receive access to BestDirect(R), A.M. Best’s real-time company tracking service. Registered subscribers can monitor companies and receive real-time e-mail notification of rating changes, news articles, press releases and changes to company reports for insurance companies of their choice.

“These databases are part of A.M. Best’s complete suite of reinsurance information resources. Also available is Best’s Reinsurance Center, an online resource that features a Premium Data & Reports service that provides subscribers with current, independent data and analysis for more than 470 reinsurance companies.
