The National Association of Professional Insurance agents (PIA) and The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. announced that they have teamed up to enable PIA member agents to offer their customers flood insurance through The Hartford.
“PIA is happy to provide our members with access to The Hartford, an outstanding Write Your Own (WYO) company that sits atop the upper rung of flood insurance providers,” commented Elizabeth B. Luce, PIA National Services Board president. “The Hartford’s flood insurance expertise, coupled with its comprehensive services, ensures PIA flood agents are well-positioned to succeed in the marketplace.”
The Hartford’s Flood Program is managed by Trumbull Flood Management, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hartford, and is available to PIA members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Highlights include an easy enrollment process, competitive commissions, advanced Internet services, plus a variety of programs and surplus lines.
“The Hartford and Trumbull are pleased to work with PIA to bring this important protection to a wider audience. With 25 per cent of floods occurring in areas not designated as flood plain, all PIA members need access to flood insurance to properly protect their clients,” stated Trumbull VP Denis Thompson. “Our commitment to our flood insurance program is demonstrated by our extraordinary customer service and cutting-edge technology, and we happily join forces with the PIA and its excellent agent members.”
