Later this year, NCCI will begin offering Proof of Coverage (POC) service in the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) POC format in two new states – Nebraska and Kentucky.
With the addition of these two states, our POC service will be available in 30 states, with 14 states in the IAIABC EDI POC format.
As announced in Circular POC-2005-08, beginning Dec. 15, 2005, the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court (WCC) is transitioning to the IAIABC EDI POC format.
Currently, the Nebraska WCC participates in NCCI’s POC program for the collection of coverage information from data providers licensed to write workers compensation insurance in Nebraska. On December 15, 2005, the Nebraska WCC will begin receiving NCCI’s daily IAIABC POC format files. NCCI Approved as IAIABC POC Provider in Kentucky
As announced in Circular POC-2005-07, effective Jan. 1, 2006, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Office of Workers’ Claims (OWC) will begin accepting POC information from NCCI in the IAIABC EDI format.
Data providers that would like to utilize NCCI as their IAIABC EDI POC vendor for the state of Kentucky must complete and submit the Authorization Form to NCCI by Nov. 9, 2005.
