Paul Braithwaite, managing director at Navigant Consulting, has been elected as president of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and Thomas G. Myers, vice president, product management for High Point Safety and Insurance Management Corporation, has been named President-Elect.
Braithwaite has been a Fellow of the CAS since 1983. He has served in a variety of leadership positions for the CAS, including vice president of administration and on the Board of Directors. He has also served as the chairperson of several committees, including the Audit Committee.
Braithwaite has been a speaker at many CAS meetings and seminars, and has been published in CAS journals. He earned his B.S. in Applied Mathematics at Brown University and an MBA in Finance at the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Myers earned his CAS Fellowship in 1986. Since then, he has served on the Examination Committee for 19 years, including three years as chairperson. Most recently, he served on the Executive Council as vice president of admissions. Myers earned his B.S. in Actuarial Science at Lebanon Valley College.

The Casualty Actuarial Society is an organization dedicated to the advancement of the body of knowledge of actuarial science applied to property, casualty and similar risk exposures. The primary goal of the Casualty Actuarial Society is to provide education and research to help its members become leading experts in the evaluation of hazard risk and the integration of hazard risk with strategic, financial and operational risk.
