Industry Charity Names Nazeri as N.Y. Division Leader

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation has named Haleh Nazeri as executive director of its newly launched New York Division.

Nazeri is the first executive director of the New York Division. In this full-time position she will guide the development and growth of the New York Division of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

“Haleh comes to the Foundation with past industry experience as well as a solid understanding of the New York nonprofit community”, said Bill Ross, chief executive officer of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. Prior to joining the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation she worked at American International Group, where she was associate director of the International and Corporate Affairs Department. At AIG, Haleh advised the company on numerous philanthropic endeavors.

Prior to her tenure at AIG, Haleh was an international affairs research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations. At the Council, she analyzed the political situation in Iran and the broader Middle East, as well as the economic recovery of post-war Balkan states.

Haleh received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and completed her Master of Arts at New York University.
