As the federal government strengthens the authority of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, national claims and risk management service provider Avizent is preparing for these changes by expanding its in-house Loss Control program to serve clients nationwide.
“The federal government is committed to improving workplace safety and ensuring that OSHA guidelines are followed to the letter,” said Thomas Watson, CEO of Avizent. “With our new Loss Control services, we’ll work with employers to develop the training programs they need to help them meet stricter safety requirements and achieve compliance.”
Avizent’s Loss Control team will work in conjunction with Atlanta-based Risk Consultants, Inc. (RCI) to provide site-specific evaluations as well as web-based training programs.
Avizent’s program offers training and guidance to help employees recognize and prevent accidents. It also includes tools focused on incentives that motivate employees to make changes in their safety routine. The program promises to build safety procedures into each employee’s daily responsibilities.
Services offered as part of Avizent’s Loss Control program include
health services, safety audits, personnel exposure assessments, measurement of physical and chemical hazard exposures, uniform fire code requirements, inventory management, accident prevention and OSHA required training.
