IDP Insurance Data Processing named David Carlino its new CEO.
Carlino will be responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and operational execution, and will also play a prominent role in customer relationship and development.
Under Carlino’s leadership, IDP will continue to focus on the software needs of small to mid-size P&C insurance carriers, provide technology-enabled solutions and strengthen its Bureau/Statistical Reporting services.
“IDP’s extensive insurance expertise has enabled us to create business solutions that are highly regarded for their innovative and intuitive nature,” Carlino says. “Our focus will continue to be on small to mid-size carriers that have the need for comprehensive but affordable software.”
IDP’s core market for policy administration, claims, reinsurance and billing consists of property and casualty insurers with earned premiums between $15 and $250 million.
Carlino brings more than 40 years’ experience in insurance industry sales, marketing and management to his new position, and has served as an agent and CEO of a regional underwriter. He has been Chairman of IDP since 2009.
In addition, IDP announces the appointments of Joe Friend to the position of senior vice president, Sales, Marketing and Client Services, and Ben Chandler as chief information officer.
