Crawford & Company has named Jacob Laudenslager vice president of its Property and Catastrophe Services (CAT) for U.S. Property & Casualty effective immediately.
Laudenslager’s property responsibilities include Crawford’s adjusting practices, processes and related business relationships. Additionally, he is responsible for the overall operations of Crawford’s CAT group, overseeing the deployment of adjusters in catastrophe situations and providing orientation, training and technical expertise to CAT adjusters. He will report to David Repinski, chief executive officer, U.S. Property & Casualty.
“Jacob is a skilled executive with nearly 20 years of experience and accomplishment in the insurance industry,” said Repinski. “His appointment reflects Crawford’s commitment to attract the most talented people, and I am certain that he will make strong contributions to our organization.”
Laudenslager has served as a regional property claims manager for Donegal Insurance Group, where he maintained national oversight of seven regional claim offices as well as developing, organizing and executing all CAT strategies. Prior to his work with Donegal, Laudenslager held various managerial roles within Travelers Insurance Company, where he led catastrophic field response team units, eventually holding the top management position for several CAT adjusters in multiple locations.
Earlier in his career, he held various claims roles within Nationwide Insurance Company, culminating in the position of claims quality specialist.
