Crawford & Company, an independent provider of claims management solutions, named Robert D. “Bob” Jones as managing director for Crawford Forensic Accounting Services (CFAS) for the United States, a new position. CFAS is part of Global Technical Services, which manages large and complex insurance claims.
In his new position Jones will have the responsibility for developing and maintaining U.S. client relationships, managing operational and administrative activities, and supervising forensic accounting services; all of the company’s forensic accountants in the United States will report to him. He will work closely with Crawford’s Forensic Accounting teams in Canada and with its management teams in Latin America to expand Forensic Accounting Services into those markets.
Jones formerly served as managing director of the Strategic Loss Management Group based in Crawford’s Los Angeles office.
He has been involved exclusively in the field of forensic accounting, risk analysis and corporate investigations for more than 30 years. He has worked extensively with insurance companies, public corporations and private companies, and attorneys, focusing his career on financial forensics and investigations. He has testified on numerous occasions as an expert in civil and criminal matters, and is a U.S. Navy veteran and a California-licensed private investigator.
