Nearly 1,900 Country Clipper riding lawn mowers are being recalled in the United States and Canada due to a fire risk.
Shivvers Manufacturing Inc., the Corydon, Iowa-based company that makes the mowers, said it received four reports of the ignition modules overheating and melting.
No injuries were reported, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall is for certain 2012, 2013 and 2014 models with the Challenger, Charger, Edge, Jazee, Jazee Pro and Jazee Pro DLX model names. They were sold at Country Clipper dealers around the country from October 2011 to May 2014 and cost between $5,300 and $9,500. They include about 1,650 mowers in the United States and 261 in Canada.
A list of the model numbers that are being recalled are available on the CPSC’s website.
