Davies Acquires Software Co. and Consulting Business

Davies, an international claims administrator headquartered in London, is continuing its US expansion with the acquisition of Quick Internet Software Solutions, a claims software designer, and MVP Advisory Group, which provides consulting services for property and casualty insurers.

Quick Internet, known as ClaimPilot, provides claims management software for property and casualty and workers’ compensation insurers, independent adjusters and third-party administrators.

The company, which is based in College Station, Texas, offers a software-as-a-service platform to provide claims tracking and reporting services. The platform can be integrated with insurers’ electronic data exchange systems.

The company will become part of Davies’ global technology unit. President and Chief Executive Officer David Quick will continue to lead the business, reporting to Jason Wolfe, president of technology.

Davies also purchased MVP Advisory Group, a Chicago-based consulting practice. The company provides expertise in program management, quality assurance, data management and digital transformation and engagement, Davies said.

MVP will become part of Davies’ consulting division, led by Consulting andTechnology Chief Executive Officer Mark Grocott. Davies said managing partners Russ Bostick and Donn Vucovich will continue to lead the business.

Overhaul Acquires SensiGuard

Supply-chain software provider Overhaul has acquired SensiGuard, a freight security service.

The acquisition adds 350 employees to the Austin, Texas company’s payroll and gives Overhaul a “commanding share of the supply chain security market,” the company said in a press release.

“This is a transformative acquisition for Overhaul,” stated Barry Conlon, founder and chief executive officer of Overhaul. “It expands our global footprint, adds hundreds of years of combined supply chain experience to our team, and brings an impressive roster of international clients under our umbrella.

The acquisition also expands Overhaul’s global footprint, adding offices in Brazil, Mexico and the Czech Republic.

The two companies will offer a “visibility engine” to protect cargo in transit, providing shippers with a system that reduces the risk of theft, damage and other cargo security threats, Overhaul said.

“Cargo theft is a multi-billion dollar industry and that is just one of the many growing risks to cargo security and integrity that global shippers and logistics providers are grappling with on a daily basis,” statedDavid Broe, chief operating officer for Overhaul. “It is imperative that service providers not only keep pace, but stay ahead with best practices and prevention protocols to meet the challenges of maritime and road transport.”

CMT Acquires Amodo

Cambridge Mobile Telematics has acquired Amodo, a rival telematics provider based in Europe.

“CMT is rapidly expanding its global footprint beyond the United States, where CMT serves 21 of the top 25 insurers,” Chief Executive Officer William Powers said in a press release. He said the acquisition will add 100 people to its payroll.

Marijan Mumdziv, Amodo’s CEO, will stay on as managing director of CMT Europe.

CMT said it operates 95 telematics programs in 25 countries, including nine in continental Europe.
