Texas Mutual Appoints VP for Claims
Texas Mutual Insurance Co. has promoted Peppia Sherrouse to vice president of claim operations.
Sherrouse has served as vice president of regional operations in Houston for the past five years, the insurer said in a press release. Chief Executive Officer Jeanette Ward said the company chose Serrouse for the position because of her “compassionate leadership style” and interest in providing advancement opportunities for her employees.
Sherrouse joined Texas Mutual in 2013 as senior manager of regional claims. Previously, she served as a branch manager for Corvel Co. and as southern region claims manager for SeaBright Insurance Co., the carrier said. She has a total of 30 years experience in workers’ compensation in multiple states and maritime jurisdictions.
Chris Dowling will take Sherrourse’s previous position as vice president of regional operations in Houston. Dowling has served as a territory management specialist in Austin Since February 2020, Texas Mutual said.
Criterion Appoints Major Loss Head
Criterion Adjusters, which specializes in serving high net worth claimants, has appointed Neil Stephens as director – head of major loss and operations.
The London-based company said Stephens will be responsible for the operational leadership of the claims team. He has 20 years of claims adjusting experience, specializing most recently in major loss claims in the United Kingdom and overseas, the company said in a press release.
Stephens began his insurance career in 2001 as a claims technician, according to a biography on the Criterion website. He moved to a field adjusting role managing large and complex marine cargo losses throughout the world. Stephens moved to Gibraltar to handle commercial property losses throughout the Iberian peninsula for the London market, the company said.
Goldberg Segalla Adds Attorney to Insurance Group
Goldberg Segalla has hired Jillian B. Saputelli to is Global Insurance Services Group in Philadelphia.
Saputelli represents insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage matters, including commercial general liability, construction defect, homeowners and bad faith claims, the law firm said in a press release.
Before joining a private practice, she served as a law clerk to Superior Court Judge Samuel J. Ragonese in Gloucester County, New Jersey.
Before joining Goldberg Segallia, Saputelli was with the Connell Foley law firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
