The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, based in Austin, Texas, recently launched an all-new online ethics course, called Legal and Ethical Requirements of Insurance Professionals, also known as Ethics OnLine.
Ethics OnLine was designed to meet the escalating requirement for ethics education in the insurance industry while it fulfills continuing education requirements. Ethics OnLine explores the ethical dilemmas common to the insurance profession, and describes systematic approaches to solving them.
“Ethics OnLine is a very efficient way to obtain your required ethics training,” Paula Cook, vice president of The National Alliance, said. “Any employee of an agency, insurance company, or insurance-related business, including customer service representatives, insurance agents/producers, and agency managers is eligible to take this online program.”
While The National Alliance has offered state-specific classroom ethics courses in the past, the curriculum written for the online course has been adapted to a four-hour classroom version. This new classroom ethics course will be conducted in approved states.
