Review Med L.P. of Dallas announced the company is undergoing a national expansion by adding to its sales team and expanding its Dallas headquarters. The company helps reduce worker’s compensation and liability-related medical bills for employers, third-party administrators and insurance companies.
Review Med’s national expansion includes a 2,500 square-foot expansion of its headquarters, located just north of Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas.
The company also added Penny Baker and Bruce Griffitts as national sales executives. Baker brings 13 years experience in medical cost containment services and most recently served as a national account manager for a large, national cost-containment firm. Griffitts also comes from a large cost-containment firm and has more than 10 years experience working with public entities and their risk management programs.
“Penny and Bruce understand the angst that companies face in trying to afford quality insurance for their employees while also managing costs,” said Carol Lonidier, president of Review Med. “As industry veterans, they’re able to help companies navigate through the concerns and come up with ways to serve employees while also keeping an eye on costs.”
The company’s initial national development efforts will be within the Southwest: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and in California, Lonidier said.
“We’ve provided services across several states—mostly within the Southwest—since our start in 1997,” she said. “Our expansion is really the direct result of our clients asking us to grow our capabilities within their regions and states. We’re expecting our growth to really focus on further entrenchment in our region, plus in states like California and Florida.”
Lonidier remains bullish about 2004, as she predicts a year of double-digit growth for Review Med. “I see another year of strong growth simply because we always have year to year, in good times and bad. Our formula for success is really simple. We don’t treat injury-related claims as claim numbers and codes. We treat them for what they are—real people and real problems. And we stay mindful of that.”
