Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland announced plans to go on a “roadshow” tour, visiting communities across the state over the next few months to update consumers and industry professionals about recent events and ongoing work being completed by the department.
“This tour is part of my effort to boost consumer education and open this department up to its public. I look forward to visiting with consumers and industry professionals and listening to their thoughts and ideas,” Holland said.
Holland will kick off the tour in Muskogee, July 26, 2005, at the Indian Capital Technology Center Cafeteria. Professionals and consumers are invited to bring their own brown bag lunch and join Commissioner Holland at noon.
Representatives from many divisions within the insurance department will join the commissioner to update those in attendance on recent work conducted by the department and to answer questions. A representative from the Social Security Administration will also be available to discuss Medicare Part D eligibility.
Future stops will be made in Woodward, Ardmore, Lawton and McAlester. Various community groups and agencies will also be involved to provide consumer information. For questions or to RSVP, call (405) 522-4623.
