An Evangeline, La., insurance producer was issued a cease and desist order and summary suspension of her insurance license for alleged forgery and misappropriation of insurance premiums.
Pamela Kate Blackwell-Hanks (a/k/a Pam or Pamela Blackwell, a/k/a Pamela B. Farrell, a/k/a Pamela C. Trahan and a/k/a Pamela Kate Cart), 51, was served with a C&D and summary suspension of her license by Department of Insurance Fraud Unit Investigators.
The DOI noted that its Fraud Section had received complaints against Blackwell-Hanks alleging she had forged and altered insurance documents. She is also alleged to have received premium payments, which she did not properly remit to authorized insurance companies, and to have conducted the business of insurance with an unauthorized insurance entity.
Previously, Blackwell-Hanks was found to have participated in the solicitation of insurance fraud in Louisiana’s 15th Judicial District Court.
Department records list her residence address as 315 Bluff Loop, Evangeline, and her mailing address as P.O. Box 72, Evangeline. Records show Blackwell-Hanks held a Life, Health & Accident license from March 1988 until May 1, 2006.
