Three people have been sentenced in what prosecutors called a Medicaid fraud ring that used forged prescriptions.
Eduardo Solis, 42, Juana “Janie” Garcia, 44, and Hermelinda Altamarino, 36, were indicted and arrested in October.
In sentences announced Tuesday by state Attorney General Greg Abbott’s office, Solis pleaded guilty to theft, insurance fraud and engaging in organized crime. He received 60 days in jail and 10 years probation.
Garcia was sentenced to 10 years probation on the same charges
