Arkansas State University officials say five current and one former student were injured when the aluminum bench they were sitting on broke and fell during the ASU-Memphis football game.
A news release from the university on Monday says the seat apparently broke about 7 p.m. Saturday at the base where it was attached to the concrete deck.
The university said four of those injured were treated at a local hospital – but that it could not discuss their conditions because of federal privacy laws.
ASU said that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
ASU Chancellor Tim Hudson said in a statement that officials are still investigating the accident.
