A Texas man injured nearly four years ago while visiting Indianapolis for an FFA convention has died.
The Amarillo Globe-News published an obituary saying 20-year-old Phillip Caler of Booker, Texas died Sept. 29.
WISH-TV reports Caler had been in a coma after suffering head trauma and several broken bones in the Oct. 22, 2009, fall at the Circle Centre mall in downtown Indianapolis.
Caler was 16 and attending a meeting of the National FFA Organization when he apparently lost his balance sitting on the escalator railing and fell 41 feet.
The obituary said the family suggested memorials to the International Brain Research Foundation in Flanders, N.J.
