CRC Insurance Services Inc. of Birmingham, Ala., announced the formation of the CRC Alternative Risk Transfer Division. CRC Alternative Risk Transfer (CRC/ART) will provide alternative risk management services and transfer products to: independent agents, program administrators, self-insurers, self-insured groups, insurance carriers, captive insurers, reinsurers, associations, affinity groups and other entities willing and able to bear risk nationwide.
CRC/ART plans to further develop relationships with alternative market carriers, reinsurers, intermediaries, associations, and service providers in addition to marketing alternative risk transfer products through CRC brokers across the country.
David L. Stegall was appointed director – Alternative Risk Transfer. Stegall, most recently with Midwest Employers Casualty Company, has 25 years of insurance/reinsurance industry experience. He has developed and implemented self-insured programs for qualified self-insurers; created self-insured funds; developed captive insurance companies; created national fronting programs; placed and produced reinsurance for both standard and alternative programs; and has developed, marketed, and underwritten alternative risk programs.
