The 2003 Safety Expo for Florida state employees was held Wednesday in the Capitol courtyard. The goal of the event is to promote a safe and accident free workplace, reducing workers’ compensation claims paid by the state.
Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher, who served as Honorary Chairman of the Expo, spoke on the importance of workplace safety.
Also available at the event was safety information booths sponsored by various state agencies, demonstrations, door prizes and entertainment.
