Ga. Gov Names New Head for SITF

Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced the election of Richard McGee to serve as administrator of the Subsequent Injury Trust Fund. Perdue made his recommendation to the board and on April 28, the Subsequent Injury Trust Fund Board of Trustees approved McGee.

“Disabled Georgians deserve access to quality work opportunities,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “The Administrator of the Subsequent Injury Trust Fund has the responsibility of keeping disabled workers in the workforce as well as giving employers the financial incentive to employ them. Richard McGee brings many years of experience to this agency which will help him carry out the mission of the organization.”

Since 1972, McGee, 64, has owned and operated McGee Realty Company. He served at the Georgia Department of Labor for more than 14 years, including four years as deputy commissioner.
