Alliance Mutual Teams with Homes4NC to Aid Hurricane Victims in Western Part of N.C.

September 28, 2004

Alliance Mutual Insurance Company, based in Greensboro, North Carolina, has partnered with Homes4NC, the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Foundation, to aid those in Western North Carolina who have experienced the devastation of the recent hurricanes.

With monies donated by Alliance Mutual, Homes4NC has provided assistance to help two agencies who have been right in the midst of assisting hurricane victims (the Mountain Project, Inc., located in Haywood County, North Carolina, and Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry located in Asheville, North Carolina).

Homes4NC was established in 2004 by the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® to promote safe, decent and affordable housing for all in North Carolina. Homes4NC collects interest on trust accounts and donates the money to nonprofit and public agencies that help low to moderate-income families with their housing needs.

Alliance Mutual has previously supported Homes4NC’s statewide and local efforts to make a direct impact on housing affordability by establishing five matching grants to assist low to moderate income families with their housing needs. These grants will be matched with funds from REALTOR® associations from around the state to provide non-profit agencies with funds to assist deserving individuals and families with their housing needs.

Agents, individuals and companies interested in assisting Homes4NC with their efforts to aid individuals affected by the recent storms in North Carolina or with their primary objective to promote safe, decent and affordable housing for North Carolinians may contact Homes4NC at 336-808-4230 or visit Homes4NC at www.homes4nc.org.

Alliance Mutual (www.AllianceMutual.com) is a regional property and casualty insurer providing preferred personal lines and small commercial lines products through independent agents located within North Carolina.
