JHA announced the 13th annual Dynamics of Disability Seminar being held March 7 – 9, 2006 at the Marriott Marco Island Resort & Spa, Marco Island, Florida.
The seminar brings together disability insurance experts and industry executives for an exploration of the opportunities and challenges facing the marketplace today.
Attendees include underwriters, actuaries, claim managers, marketing and sales professionals, researchers, analysts, producers and other industry professionals. The audience is drawn from disability insurance carriers, TPAs, brokerage firms, service providers, industry associations and covers all disciplines across the industry.
Alessandro Iuppa, president of the NAIC, will be a featured speaker; He will be joining the seminar directly from the NAIC Spring National Meeting. Ed O’Malley of NFP Benefits and Melissa Millan of MassMutual will also be featured speakers. O’Malley will share his views about the future of the disability insurance distribution model, and Millan will bring her insights from experience in both the group and individual disability businesses.
Dynamics seminar workshops are structured around three strategic areas: Risk Management, Products and Distribution, and Research. Speakers include industry leaders from disability insurers, brokerage firms, employers, consulting companies, and other experts from across the country and overseas.
Workshop topics include: The Next Generation of Experience Analysis, Integrating Health and Disability — Carrier, Producer & Employer Perspectives, Benchmarking Your Group Underwriting Organization, Chronic Pain — What Does the Future Hold, Social Security Disability Insurance: Highlights From the Institute of Medicine, and more than 20 others.
