West Virginia’s efforts to improve highway safety are getting help from the federal government.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has awarded more than $859,000 to the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
The grant will be used to improve driver behavior and performance, and to reduce deaths and injuries from motor vehicle-related accidents.
U.S. Senators Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin announced the funding Monday.
